Robert Fripp once said: "Music so wishes to be heard that sometimes it calls on unlikely characters to give it voice, and to give it ears." Apart from what inspires me, I can't point out where the music that I play comes from. It simply happens in the moment. Still, I think about it all the time.

After many years of trying to find my sound, resulting in writer's block (hence only a few releases in recent years), finding my scene by chance in 2020 and surrounding myself with like-minded people were what helped me to move forward and what I'm very thankful for. Finding such people is something that rarely happens, I think. Even the pandemic didn't change much about this. In fact, I've never felt more connected to the people and focused on music before.

The three tracks of this album are only the start of a new chapter. "Time Stands Still" is the name of a piece by Robert Fripp who continues to be one of my main influences (despite me not being a guitar player). I chose this to be the title of this album and its title track because when I play music, time seems to stand still for me.

This album is dedicated to Klaus Schulze and Edgar Froese.

Before releasing my album "Descent", a kind-of concept album that I have been working on since 2022 and which has been the starting point of many ideas for different tracks and other albums, I chose to release the three tracks of "Time Stands Still" which were improvised and recorded live in one take each at my home studio in February 2024 as part of the RPM Challenge.
